The Intimates of Love and Grief
Grief isn’t a linear path. We don’t go on a grief journey and pop out the other side.
Grief is a deepening.
A deepening into life. Into love.
It’s a personal “weathering”
It smooshes our face against a LOVE so big the body can’t readily contain it.
If we haven’t opened the ground of our being to receive BIG LOVE, grief appears as painful.
When the aperture of our heart is set in some “just right” Goldilocks Zone - Grief will blow the doors right off.
It will introduce us to a depth of love that is billions of light years across, yet only two inches away.
It erupts from a shared love, a shared heart, and asks us, “will you hold all of this love in just one heart?”
Grief is love.
The growing pains of love expanding, taking on new shapes, and traversing new dimensions.
Emptying here, and filling up over there.
We don’t grieve what we haven’t loved. And we don’t integrate in life, what we haven’t grieved.
