Underworld
Any topic under the Sun can be looked at through the lens of Astrology. Everything has a cosmic context. Death, Grief, & Loss are no different.
These sessions have become some of my most powerful, deeply moving work.
They have the potential to help release us from the mental loops, and contracts with suffering that often accompany death, loss, & grief.
In an attempt to make sense of the Underworld, the Dark periods in our lives can evoke the false perception that we could have done something to prevent what has happened. Particularly in cases that loss happens suddenly. From the loss of a loved one, a job, an opportunity, a trauma, a health crisis, or simply something unexpected and disruptive. All of these and more can elicit a trip to the Underworld.
Underworld Sessions have the potential to help us see beyond the mental story the mind is weaving about our loss. Illuminate the places where we are pulling in threads from a a culture that is immature, and unequipped to hold loss in the expansive, reverent, way its meant to be held.
These sessions help us open up to that sweet tender current of abundant universal love and connection that is available when we have a healthy container to hold and honor our Underworld experience inside of.
They offer a more cosmic context than the one society gives us. Answering questions we often didn’t know we had. Revealing the wisdom of what the soul knows in the moments immediately following our loss. And help us identify, continue and/or complete the evolutionary work we came here to do.
They help to help sacralize our losses.
Whenever we experience a profound loss in our lives, we are often so stunned and mystified that our identity shifts. This is right from a biological perspective. as major transitions are meant to transform us. We almost always have a sense that we’ve become brand new again. There is who we were before, and who we will be now, after the loss. Underworld sessions address this phenomenon.
Grief Work
I am convinced that Grief Work will be the next healing frontier.
Collectively, our society does not have mature rituals around Death, Loss, Grief, or what St. John of the Cross, called “Dark Nights of the Soul”.
As a society, we do not seem to have much practice at meeting others in these “lowly” places.
This leaves the people who experience these deeper dimensions feeling wildly unsupported, lacking an adequate container to hold them as they make sense of what has happened to them.
My life has been uniquely oriented to these Realms. As a product of a closed adoption, I spent my early life trying to navigate an underworld hell that everyone around me saw as a blessing.
I then experienced a subsequent massive familial loss more than a decade ago that left me reeling. And looking for significant answers around how I could support myself in a world that wasn’t able to meet me in the dark.
Finally, my 22 year old son passed away.
What I learned, is that the discoveries I made in that dark period a decade ago, saved me in the wake of loosing my boy.
I had cracked some kind of Underworld Code.
I knew how to walk these lands, and make sense of the terrain. I had a map.
Now, I offer this map to my clients through the medium of these powerful sessions.
Cosmic Context
Soon after my son Tanner died, I opened astrology charts hoping to find something. As an Astrologer, charts speak to me. They are an oracle. The archetypes tell the story of soul. And in so doing, I was able to instantly find answers to questions that I would have ruminated on for years if I hadn’t.
In my son’s case, I felt the pulled towards ceremony, had a strong desire to ritualize aspects of his death, and continue working on what I knew was our shared evolutionary curriculum. There were many points of connection between Tanner and I in the charts that made it clear, we had a shared soul path, and his soul could continue to mentor me in specific areas. Continuing on with that work has become a way of weaving his soul on the 3-D plane. A way for us to still be doing our Karmic work together.
Many people find that having a cosmic context for their experience is a supportive way to help anchor them after a significant loss. To know that our losses are sacred, and not necessarily “wrong” has brought great comfort to my clients.
However, Underworld Sessions are meant for anyone who suspects that they are in the Underworld. They do not need to be relegated to loss of a loved one.
How Sessions Work
We meet and look at your chart, and possibly the chart of the person or “thing” that you lost if this is relevant. In the case of a death, there is also the option of looking at “Death Charts”. The chart that is created at the moment of death. If you think this option might be for you, mention it in your contact sheet.
Then, through dialogue, and your open receptivity to the discovery process, we listen to what the charts have to say.
In addition to what the charts can offer, these sessions come with my own personal support and guidance.
They are one part chart work, one part reorientation to a new map of how we hold our grief and walk the new terrain of the Underworld.
There is an option to continue sessions without charts. To simply receive my support and guidance as you navigate the Underworld Process.
Who are Death, Loss, & Grief, Sessions for?
These sessions can cover anything we consider a death, a loss, or something worthy of grieving. It doesn’t have to be the death of a loved one. It can be an event, a shift, a life change, a loss of relationship, or job, etc.
The reason these readings are relevant and work is because every meaningful event in our life creates its own chart.
Therefore, everything that happens in our life has a bigger cosmic context.
If you are struggling to cope with a loss, or would like explore the bigger questions, This session is for you.
In my son’s case, I could immediately see themes from his life and our relationship in a way I never had before. Through using our combined charts, along with his death chart, I have been able to find meaning in loss, and forge a path ahead, while also honoring the immense grief I now carry with me. Making sense of the charts, has helped me come to a place of profound acceptance that I’m not sure I would have had otherwise. This isn’t to say I don’t experience the human emotions that accompany loss. However, it has given me an underlying peace I’m unsure I’d have otherwise.
These sessions paired with my Underworld Map have been both comforting and confirmational for those who’ve employed them. I’m open to receiving you if this offering speaks to you.
A note on Sessions that involve someone who has passed over.
This is not a psychic session. I do not act in the capacity of a Medium or Shaman in my professional life. I will not attempt to contact your loved one from the other side during our session. If you desire this type of work, I have colleagues I can refer you too.
With that said, I have always had a naturally heightened intuition, and will share with you any intuitive insights that come through during our session together.
Because of my sensitive, intuitive nature, spiritual hygiene has always been important to me, which is why I do not personally open sessions to ancestors that I do not have a working relationship with.
You are welcome to invite/invoke your loved one yourself should you like them to be present during the session.
Trauma
Although I do have practitioner level training in trauma, these sessions are not designed to hold people in active trauma. They require participants to have the capacity to resource themselves. It is not the intention of these sessions to further the client’s distress around loss. They are meant to be supportive, illuminating and ultimately, to bring comfort and illumination around the greater soul story.
If you suspect that a session might be the slightest bit destabilizing, it might be best to hold off until you feel that you are in a more grounded place.
