Saturn Into Pisces, Virgo Full Moon, Evolutionary Themes
Saturn Brings the Dakini Principle into our Lives through Pisces
The Dakini is a messenger of spaciousness and a force of truth, presiding over the funeral of self-deception. Wherever we cling, she cuts; whatever we think we can hide, even from ourselves, she reveals. The dakini traditionally appears during transitions: moments between worlds, between life and death, in visions between sleep and waking, in cemeteries and charnel grounds. - Wisdom Rising
Pisces is the last sign of the Zodiac. The place of dissolution, and completion. A place where we begin to reset the template for rebirth. It’s a very watery (soupy) place in the chart. Indefinable, and without structure. A place that it’s been historically hard to ground in. Saturn is quite opposite. They make interesting bedfellows. With Saturn in Pisces, we may finally be able to embody the paradox of grounding inside of groundlessness.
With Saturn in Pisces we will have the opportunity to face into our own swampiness. The places we are collapsed, and out of right relationship with almost any dimension of our lives. We can use the Virgoan Archetype to help us add organic, Feminine structure to the places where we haven’t been able to “stand up” on our own because we are dissociated, or stuck in our pain body. (This is different than an organic winter season in our lives, places of fallowness and rest. Bring in your Virgoan discernment here)
In the beginning of the video I went over the Lunar Nodes, and their evolutionary roles in our charts. Then I went through each axis. If you’d like to pull your own chart prior to listening, to locate your own nodes, the video will give your some idea of the evolutionary themes you may be working with in this lifetime.
At 20:24 I begin to talk about the Virgo / Pisces Axis, which is where this Full Moon takes place. I cover the themes that the Full Moon invites us to look at this month. The Virgo / Pisces Axis can be compared to different types of light. Picture the diffuse light that emanates from a flashlight, vs, the kind of light that emanates from a laser pointer. Pisces is diffuse, whereas Virgo is laser precise. Virgo is about discernment, whereas, Pisces encompasses “the all”.
The Virgo/Pisces axis is deeply mystical. Asking us to balance (and integrate) the spiritual and the mundane. To not neglect one for the other. Each polarity can be a detrimental blind spot to the other when they aren’t blended well.
The shadow of this Axis is getting stuck in the Victim/Martyr, Rescuer/Savior, archetypes, at the expense of your own growth and evolution.
At 30:31 is where the talk about Saturn in Pisces begins.
VIRGO FULL MOON - SATURN IN PISCES
Saturn Brings the Dakini Principle into our Lives through Pisces
“The Dakini is a messenger of spaciousness and a force of truth, presiding over the funeral of self-deception. Wherever we cling, she cuts; whatever we think we can hide, even from ourselves, she reveals. The dakini traditionally appears during transitions: moments between worlds, between life and death, in visions between sleep and waking, in cemeteries and charnel grounds.” - Wisdom Rising by Lama Tsultrim Allione
Pisces is the last sign of the Zodiac. The place of dissolution, and completion. A place where we begin to reset the template for rebirth. It’s a very watery (soupy) place in the chart. Indefinable, and without structure. A place in which it can be hard to find grounding.
Pisces is what lives beyond the veil. Our Psychic Piscean archetype tends to have one foot in a the matrix, and one in dimensions that live beyond our perception. Mystical realms.
Saturn is quite opposite. Saturn the brings structure and definition of the 3-D realm wherever he goes. Through his action of setting limitations he acts as our cosmic daddy. Whopping us over the head when we aren’t aligned with the deeper truth we are here to embody. His job is to help us architect a legacy that is authentic and lasting. He does this by setting very clear boundaries. “Yes you may place this brick in your life, or no you may not.”
Working with Saturn to build something sustainable can be a joyful task when we have reverence for the function he plays in our lives.
If we are someone who barrels through cosmically placed obstacles because our ego “wants” to satisfy itself, Saturn work can be quite painful.
However, if we are willing to surrender to the bigger thing, the evolutionary and karmic work of our incarnation, Saturn becomes an incredible ally.
Hopefully, through naming some of their qualities, you are beginning to see how these two make interesting bedfellows.
Pisces can be associated with addiction, which brings us into the realm of the hungry ghost. Pisces wants to feel unified with the whole, no separation, connected to source and non-duality. So when the pain of separation is introduced, we can over-feed and over-consume to compensate for our feelings of emptiness and disconnection.
This action introduces us to the Hindu concept of Maya. The world is an illusion, and so is everything in it. This is a place that we can find ourselves easily disassociated, lost in a land of delusion. Led astray, to a path of endless devouring, trying to satiate our way into a state of groundedness.
In essence, being grounded is a sense of connection or reconnection to a living source of love.
We only find this grounding through the action of trust. However, in Pisces, this is faith filled trust. Trust that requires no proof of the thing we are hoping to land on.
In a seeming paradox, we cultivate this trust only through facing the isness of life. Through a diligent interaction with reality, and the mundane world.
When we understand the world is a “real illusion”. An authentic cosmic playground, we’ve begun our Saturn in Pisces work.
This is where we can root our spirituality,
embody the paradox of grounding inside of groundlessness.
With Saturn in Pisces we will have the opportunity to face into our own swampiness. The places we are collapsed, and out of right relationship with almost any dimension of our lives. Saturn is about “right relationship”. Not becoming too out of touch, or too dissociated from what really matters.
If you are thinking “this could be me!”, we can lean on the Virgoan Archetype of sovereignty, self sufficiency, and self-containment, to help us add organic, Feminine structure to the places where we haven’t been able to “stand up” on our own because we are dissociated, or stuck in our pain body. (This is different than an organic winter season in our lives, places of fallowness and rest. Bring in your Virgoan discernment here)
From an evolutionary perspective, the Virgo/Pisces axis helps us explore themes of control, surrender, and faith.
The Virgo / Pisces Axis (where our Full Moon takes place) can be compared to different types of light. Picture the diffuse light that emanates from a flashlight, vs, the kind of light that emanates from a laser pointer. Pisces is diffuse, whereas Virgo is laser precise. Virgo is about discernment, whereas, Pisces encompasses “the all”.
Virgo separates the what from the chafe. Is about precision, focus, and seeing with clarity. Able to weave what is born beyond the veil, into the mundane world. In their highest expression, they are the Divine in Matter.
This axis is deeply mystical. Asking us to balance (and integrate) the spiritual and the mundane.
Because Virgo is spirituality embodied, the shadow of this axis is getting stuck in the Victim/Martyr/Rescuer/Savior archetypes at the expense of our own evolution.
Pisces can pull us into the hippy realm of “it’s all relative, man”, and not allow us to see where we need to set boundaries. With Virgo’s bent towards service, these things can easily become misaligned, causing us to invest our life force in pursuits that are untrue, or unwise.
All in All, this Virgo Full Moon, which is kicking off our Saturn in Pisces season will be a sobering transit for many of us. A time in which we will either be pulled out to sea, drowning in our pain body, feeling stark separation from the whole. OR, if we remain conscious and aware, a time to get our affairs in order. To root into reality in a way that intigrates the mystical with the matrix. To ground our spiritual pursuits in a practical and healthy way.
I’m genuinely excited.
