Vata Dosha/ Love Divine

Vata Dosha, Love Divine- FULL MOON IN LIBRA

Full Moon on 4/16/22 at 26° Libra 2:55pm EST

There were a myriad of ways I could have approached my Full Moon Transmission. The energies are intense. With soaring highs, and dark underworld currents, the symbolism alone is rich for the taking. With so many options, I always find it’s best to approach my writing with something close to home. Something alive in my world.

Last week, I had a health event, in which my heart was briefly stopped. This brought in a new sense of gnosis around being both in and out of my body. And let me say, both are beautiful experiences.

However….

The desire to escape or follow ascension narratives without an element of grounding into reality is extremely prevelant now because the energies and atmosphere support it.

From ethereal Jupiter & Neptune in Pisces, to the Full Moon in Libra (an air sign) making connections with the malific planets.

And then we have Saturn in Aquarius (sign of the collective) Squaring the Nodes in Venus ruled Taurus and Mars/Pluto ruled Scorpio, thus seemingly affirming that dark energies are actually playing out some kind of nefarious agenda against the light.

It’s an absolutely PERFECT Easter Energy.

Easter is always timed to happen on the first Sunday, after the first Full Moon, after the Spring Equinox.

They were in essence putting time in a bottle, knowing they’d capture a variation of this spritely, almost etheric, airy, energy each year.

However, since I’ve recently had my own version of leaving the body, I want to come back to this idea of ascension for a moment.

In addition to my work as an Astrologer , I am an Ayurvedic practitioner. Ayurveda is actually how I wound up here. The two are an intertwined discipline. Astrology acting as an Ayurvedic diagnostic tool.

Vata Vata

Vata imbalance is an excess of dryness, wind, and ether, within the overall constitution. Vata individuals often eat dry foods, perhaps following a raw diet, with not a lot of meat and fat, are often thin, (although they don’t have to be) can have trouble having a bowel movements, (constipation) and often have a somewhat sluggish or dry digestive system.

It’s prevalent in New Age health communities and spiritual circles because of the doctrine of “the vessel”. Yet, in reality most of us haven’t a clear understanding of exactly how to care for the vessel in a balanced way.

This excess of the wind element in Vata makes the field of those with this Dosha susceptible to hooking into narratives of unreality, dissociation, or the desire to leave the body or the planet. A desire for ascension or “Resurrection” over immanence and embodiment.

Let me make clear, I was born with this constitution, I struggle to gain weight. It’s not a bad constitution. But like any thing in excess, it’s helpful to watch where our particular Dosha can take us.

Since leaving my body briefly last week, I’ve had to spend more than a week’s time grounding. Perhaps longer than others might have too due to the nature of my constitution.

One of the things I’ve been doing to support myself is eating “building” foods. Root vegetables, meats, and fats, and bone broths, etc.

The actual Easter Feast, complete with Lamb, is a perfect meal to complement the energies of the season. Helping us ground into the bounty of Earth.

So with this Libra Full Moon, and all the ethereal Vata-like energies in the collective, I thought it would be helpful to name some of themes that may come up, and how we can anchor ourselves instead.

Firstly, pay particular mind to where your attention goes. If you notice it hooking into escapist activities, or unreality, (leaving this dimension) vs being in the living room present with our family, that is a clue to call our energy back into our bodies with grounding foods and exercises.

As the sign of Libra is often the sign of Christ’s rising, it’s helpful to keep in mind how the authentic message of Christ’s good news is both, very Libran in Nature, and can absolutely help us anchor into our path here on earth.

It goes something like…

“The love we seek, the divine is already here. It is not in some other where. It is in immanence and in relationship to other we see it manifest. We can wake up to our Divine Radiance here and now by simply acknowledging the providence available to us in this moment.”

Ideas around heaven and transcendence, living our life in an orientation towards some other realm is actually a distortion of Christ’s message. Christ was always referencing our love walk in this life.

This love of Christ, love embodied, doesn’t mean anything until it’s put into action. Which is also something we need to be “present” here in this realm to practice. With Saturn exalted in Libra, it’s not an unboundaried love. It is love intelligent.

And lastly, the Christic-Libran qualities say… One of the most divine names of God is “Justice” (since the word Justice has become slightly co-opted of late, I use Justness) Justness lacks narcissism. It requires a sense of “compassionate cooperation”. And is always carried out in this realm.

Libra is ruled by Venus (Jesus often called the Morning Star in the Bible) and Saturn is exalted here. Calling us to reflect on the values of the high heart.

I’m rather enjoying these energies. They are especially high sensation because both the light and the dark are so accentuated at the moment. And that tends to make us feel especially alive!

However, it’s also brought me back to first principles, and called me to “re-evaluate” how I am putting grounded love into action.

Have a Blessed Holiday All!
