Venus into Sagittarius

Before I write an astrology transmission, I always journey with the Star Story. Try and feel it from the inside out. How is the energy manifesting and expressing in my world?

I generally feel a bit disconnected from Venusian energy when she is in her Superior Conjunction, Underworld Phase. Traveling furthest from the Earth, on the opposite side of the Sun. Her influence largely occulted by the Sun's Rays.

As I was sitting with the energies I ran across a quote from Sophie Strand. “If a cursory study of somatics shows that we think with our entire body”...

Hmm, yes, if we think, experience, and take information in through our whole sensory body, it certainly explains why there’s this double Underworld signature living through so many of us. With Venus having lived in Scorpionic energy for so long, as she made Her trek through darkness, it makes sense that there is a vague sense of separation springing to life within us. Divorcing us from everyday life. The Underworld seemingly drops us in the compost heap, that then opens to the fertile void underneath.

Everywhere I look, I see people saying things like, “I’ve been in a deeply internal space”. Or “all of the sudden my craving for more has been upended, and I’m feeling more introspective, more stationary and surrendered”. Things along these lines.

Which of course is the point of the Underworld. A meeting with Soul, with the unconscious, with the deepest recesses of truth within us. Meditating on endings, and death. What needs to be laid to rest, so a new, fuller iteration of self can come online. Be reborn.

This marks an important threshold, an opportunity to inventory our Underworld experience. What did we learn here? What truth has been revealed? What seed wants to be developed? And what needs to be left behind? Journaling with these prompts, before we formerly exit the energies, getting these things down on paper with some free-writing, will greatly support the Resurrection leg of Venus Capricorn/Libra Cycle.

With Venus having now moved from Scorpio into Fiery Sagittarius, we may begin to feel a lightening around these almost swampy internal vibes. Allowing us to ignite the seed of truth we’ve been gestating in the dark. To finally bring it out, and see it in the light.

Sagittarius is a soaring, expansive, inspirational part of the Sky. Home of Ophiuchus, and the Galactic Center. A dimension of reality concerned with culture, upper level academia, and higher philosophical truths. It’s bright, boisterous, and optimistic. Prepare for the town square to burst to life again with lively, dare I say, innovative debate.

If our creativity has felt lackluster, our Eros, diminished, criticism turned inward, prepare to be re-inspired as not only has Venus moved into Sagittarius, but she is slowly separating from Her conjunction with the Sun. This means Her influence won’t be veiled, and feel so elusive. But rather our direct connection will be restored. The subtle sensorial body; revivified. Our visions will have more clarity. Our Gnosis, more pointed and refined.

While I am immensely thankful for the period of deep introspection and revelation. I welcome the upcoming Return of The Goddess. The loftiness and ecstasy of Her kiss with Sagittarius. And all of the aliveness that will accompany her triumphant, elegant, harmonic, Evening Star Rise. Stay Tuned.

Her passion for this existential detective work aligns well with her unique approach to one on one client work, as she helps others to discover the building blocks of their archetypal blueprint, and mythic overtones. She does not believe that astrology is static, and therefore works with clients to develop strategies and practices that allow them to transcend challenging aspects of their natal chart.

She lives on the Shores of Lake Erie with her husband, four kids, and Cat, Oscar (the grouch).

These days, when she isn’t interpreting a natal chart, or translating the stars for her astrology blog, you can find her engaging in one of her favorite pandemic pastimes, unraveling her inner “good girl”, cultivating the ability to thrive in the deep, dark, unknown, or playing her favorite game of identifying fun paradoxes called “two things are true at once”.
