Square-Off
If you are feeling a bit stuck, or stagnant, it could be because we have a fixed sign T-Square in the sky with the Titans of the Zodiac, Mars in Leo, Jupiter in Taurus, and Pluto in Aquarius.
Fixed signs are just like they sound. Fixed in their position, fixed in their psyche, fixed in their themes. Take the symbolism of the Bull. This is a great analogy for the energy of fixed signs.
Once the mind is set on the task, there is no deviation from the plan. It will charge forward despite the obstacles. Or, likewise, it will not move a muscle from this spot until its standards are met.
A T-Square is a bit like planets wrestling for dominance. Both Mars & Pluto are related to personal power, and all three have a “power” based action. So there is no way we aren’t feeling this transit in some part of life.
In corner number 1, we have Pluto in Aquarius, highlighting a commitment to Utilitarianism in some area of our lives. Somewhere we *know that the group absolutely must be considered before the individual. Whether that’s in our family or in our work. And we are set in this position, willing to fight for it. Aquarius is also related to our ideals, so we aren’t so much fighting not to loose something tangible here, as we are fighting for a future that has yet to materialize.
In corner number 2, Jupiter in Taurus is putting this utilitarian Philosophy to the test. As the sign of values, and resources, it feels a bit skeptical about bowing down to the kind of “equality”and “distribution model”, Aquarius is proposing. Jupiter wants sovereignty over its already established, tangible, land, health, and wealth.
The question of this square is which model do we prioritize? Utilitarian, or Meritocracy? The ideal, or the established? And how can we find some kind of equilibrium here? We can sort of see this square playing out in the debate about sending money to other countries to aid them in their defenses. We don’t know where the outcome will lead, but the idea is that the group prospers in this event, while investors, and people involved in the meritocratic system, also benefit.
In the 3rd corner, Mars in Leo opposes Pluto in Aquarius. Mars in Leo insists that the individual must be considered in all of this. The individuals thoughts, feelings, and values. This is the individual that is willing to fight for, and make a stand for whichever position they feel most resonant with. Mars in Leo is in absolute resistance to the Aquarian Energy that he sees as erasing his individuality. He doesn’t want to relinquish his radiance, or make himself smaller so that someone else might grow. Whether that’s through the financial system, or through his own expression. He wants his say in the future we are living into.
We can see by this energy it’s got a kind of circular feel to it. We either choose to enter the ring, and get caught in the “no exit” juggle, or we allow these energies to pass, and we take a rest. I’m doing the former.
Think about where this type of circular energy may be playing out on a smaller scale in your own life. The differing corners.
Aquarius, societies ideas.
Taurus, our values.
Leo, the hearts truth.
How are these squaring off or at odds with each other in our own lives. Another expamd of these opposing energies looks like what we are juggling when the end of a relationship is nigh. Where we hang on to the fantasy or future potential, we struggle with our values about partnership, to stay or go.. and Leo, the truth of the heart, and what path leads to us shining the most brightly.
