HEART CHAKRA GATEWAY OF DESCENT
VENUS MOON MEET IN PISCES
Pisces is the Primordial Lake of infinite potentiality. Home of Tiamat, The Dragon Lair of No-Thing. Where pure, chaotic, meaninglessness, reigns supreme. It is the realm of dissolution, the place paradox melts back into the void. It is older than our most ancient concept. Where birth and extinction are in endless, simultaneous, rapture. Distinction dies here, distinction is born here. It’s all one liminal upside down co-arising, co-negating space. Darkness. Groundlessness. All enveloping Abyss. Deeper and wider than one could imagine. No end, no beginning, no horizon, no ceiling. It’s the Holy Now, the Holy Then, the Holy Wow, the Holy When.
And Venus, she is exalted here? Why when she has so much to do with presence, love, connection, and embodiment? When her function is to make meaning, from the meaninglessness? And to help us get clear on our values, and accumulate resources for the
3-D human experience?

In most astrology circles, Venus is the function of attraction, whereas Mars is the function of will or force. They have two entirely different energetic styles.
I have long likened Venus’ true Power, Her true Size, to that of a Black Hole. With the ability to pull in that which she feels an attraction too.
It is from this place, this Vacuum, we can connect to download and channel wisdom. This is Venus' highest function. To help us cultivate gnosis and then put that gnosis to work FOR us.
In Pisces, that function feels largely unobstructed. With its clear, wide open space, and connection to the infinite dimension.
Venus’s Cycle is the template of creation, death, and rebirth. And Pisces is the void from which all form comes into being, and the forms we are attached to dissolve back into nothing.
THIS, is why, from my perspective, she is exalted in Pisces.

Pisces asks us to allow death, with gentle ease to just let go. And when we don’t allow entropy, when the attachment gets distorted, when we have no ability to have the ground fall out from underneath us, addictions form.
There are some schools of thought that hypothesize addiction as the desire to return to a state of oneness. I like that. In a way, that really works.
But on a deeper level, I think there is also something to the idea that addiction is the desire to don a protective cloak when a chasm begins to open in an area of our lives that feels entirely unsafe, that threatens to crack the foundation of our identity, the “I am” principle that our energy, our time, our love, our care has coalesced around.
The addiction becomes a tool, a super power suit. Or at least, I think many addictions start this way. I say that as a person who has struggled with addiction in the past, and has generational addiction in our family.
It is an attempt to hold onto our ideal image, our attachment to some ideal status quo, a set of pre-programmed shoulds. When instead it is true for something to die.
The pain of that fracture, that letting go, is all too much. We want to cling to the stories that we think define us. And when we can’t find one that fits anymore, we contort ourselves, we change our shape, to try on others that just aren’t authentic. And that is an extraordinarily painful way to live. The addiction numbs the pain. The pain of letting the untrue die. Because we think it says something about us. Something shameful. In a strange way, the addiction becomes a tool of regaining control.
Here in the Heart Chakra Getway, Venus is acting like a Dissolution Doula for me. Helping my heart release the untrue and out of alignment. It’s been wildly painful, I am exceptionally raw, and weirdly ecstatic and light. I am so full of feeling and emotion, every cell vibrating with potential. This has been done with grace and ease, In part because the energies are so supportive of this practice. And in part, because I have cultivated a deep anchored trust in the Mystery. Which is itself, like saying I’m anchored in being unanchored. Mind Bendy, I know.
The Moon Venus conjunction opened at 12:49 am Est. April 27th. At this particular Gateway we have all the benific and receptive planets in one place. Venus and Moon at 23 Pisces, Neptune at 24 Pisces, and Jupiter at 27 Pisces. Add to that, the entire conjunction in Pisces is in a supportive aspect to the Nodes, and an eclipse is mere days away on April 30th, this is a time to check in with your path. Are you living in alignment with the purpose of your incarnation? Is your life supporting or negating your deepest truth? And if you find places where you are clinging to stories, or narratives that are keeping you outside real alignment, can you unclench your fists, and let them go?
Because Pisces, and Neptune, both have an affinity with the concept of Illusion, or the sanskrit notion of Maya, this isn’t a practice I would undertake lightly. So it’s a phenomenal bit of serendipity that we have moved into the Heart Chakra Gateway of Descent. Our Heart is the organ of truth. Although, in order for it to operate as such, we have to be really, really, dialed into it, because, like all things in this realm, it’s paradoxical. Some of the things the heart is associated with can lead us onto a path of the untrue, like misplaced love and compassion. But a clear and resonant heart chakra, can be an ally in the act of alignment.

Abandon all these attitudes
Of wanting to prolong pleasure
And avoid suffering
Let the heart be itself and feel
Whatever is there.
Freed from clinging and avoiding,
The heart regains its poise
And revels in creation.
Plunging deep into its center,
Discover that the heart is moved
By a pulse that is everywhere.
This month as I have dialed into this space with my heart, I have found an unshakeable clarity. It is from this realm that we can partner with the radiance of our heart, to allow untruth to dissolve and live more fully from our essence. The true beauty of life in relationship to Venus.
The unique opportunity of Venus in Pisces is the ability to bypass some of the 3-D stuff she is normally playing with, and contact the void directly.
It all becomes a more enjoyable, fruitful, process when we live in a relationship to trust. Trust that all things that are meant to fall apart, fall together again. For our highest good. And searching for meaning in it all is another way to pull us off center. Forget meaning making, the desire “to know '' what it will all look like, and instead focus on frequency, trust, and truth. And your heart will guide you home.
