A Quick Note on Lion’s Gate 8/8

Art Jonas Jodicke

A quick note on Lion’s Gate.

There is a big debate in the astrological community about whether or not this is a real Star Gate, or Holiday.

If you are confused that’s ok. I don’t blame you.

From an Archetypal perspective, Leo the Lion, is the Large Hearted King with clear access to his Divine Magical Child. He likes to play, & be the center of attention. He doesn’t take life to seriously. And he loves the adoration of his fans.

The radiant heart of the Sun rules this sign.

Many people believe that this is also the home of the Solar Light Codes and the Ascendant Path. (?)

Sirius is connected to the Divine Mother of the Egyptian Solar Pantheon.

If you, like me, spend a lot of time in Earthy environments, connecting with the moon.

If you find being fully seen in all of your glorious light a challenge.

If you have trouble connecting to the divine magical child inside of you.

IF you want to cultivate more play.

Or if you simply want to deepen with Egyptian Star Magic….

Then you may want to consider taking part in all of the celebrations that fall in Leo. They are all connecting you deeper with Leo’s energy and the Lion’s Gate specifically offers an opportunity to commune with the Spiritual Sun of our Sun.

Plus, there is a massive wave of REAL astrological energy that could be harnessed to create evolutionary SHIFT.

There is the North Node/Mars/Uranus conjunction, that is still active.

The Moon will be at Galactic Center on 8/8.

AND perhaps most importantly the Sun is squaring the nodal axis. Which was NOT happening last year.

There’s nothing wrong with bowing to the Sky Gods and asking for smooth passage.

Whether or not this is a real Star Gate matters little when such a large portion of the population’s consciousness is fixed on it.

144,000 people’s focus is all we need to generate a shift in consciousness.

Plus, the great thing about ritual and ceremony is, you can make of it what YOU DESIRE. You can personalize it for your needs.

So if Lion’s Gate is calling you, feel free to celebrate. If it doesn’t, don’t.

*disclaimer: working with archetypes means they are always available to us. Sometimes the energy from the Sky Story supports and enhances this work. Sometimes all we need is the right field.

The principle of 144,000 creates the field, even if the Sky Story isn’t aligned. So either way we slice it, Lion’s Gate can provide enough energy for a shift.

So if you’ve planned a ceremony, were excited, and then read a post by your trusted Astrologer that said it isn’t real and now find yourself in a dilemma… I say you can still harness the energy of the field and have your ceremony if the ceremony is calling to you.

Ceremony on its own provides so many benefits for the participant, I’d never abandon it unless I truly felt it didn’t resonate.

*Remember, we need new mythology in order to evolve. We are the authors of our reality. If we want to write a new story for Humanity that celebrates the best parts of the symbology of Lion’s Gate, we should make that happen!

Damascena Tanis

Damascena is an Archetypal Astrologer, Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner, and The Facilitator of the Transformative Journey through the Mandala of Venus’ Wisdom, called “Sky Dancer”.

She is a passionate devotee of the ever unfolding mystery. As an expert observer, a trait she developed as an only child, she regards herself as both a student of life, and decoder of the cosmos.

Skilled at recognizing invisible patterns, and picking up on subtle shifts in the collective, she gets a thrill from uncovering and revealing the hidden threads that are woven together to create our paradigm.

Her passion for this existential detective work aligns well with her unique approach to one on one client work, as she helps others to discover the building blocks of their archetypal blueprint, and mythic overtones. She does not believe that astrology is static, and therefore works with clients to develop strategies and practices that allow them to transcend challenging aspects of their natal chart.

She lives on the Shores of Lake Erie with her husband, four kids, and Cat, Oscar (the grouch).

These days, when she isn’t interpreting a natal chart, or translating the stars for her astrology blog, you can find her engaging in one of her favorite pandemic pastimes, unraveling her inner “good girl”, cultivating the ability to thrive in the deep, dark, unknown, or playing her favorite game of identifying fun paradoxes called “two things are true at once”.
