DARK SHADOWS
Venus is currently crossing over Eris, the Dark Goddess of Chaos and Discord, in the late degrees of Aries. She’s on Her way to make a square to Pluto in Capricorn.
This is the signature of the archetype of the “ideal women”, crossing swords with the underworld, or shadow side of her nature.
We can see this very theme is up in the collective. Whether or not we side with the woman on trial or not, there is no denying that we are watching an energy akin to a modern day witch hunt play out.
We are seeing it in the primal hysteria, and subconscious activation In an almost blood-lust like fury from a large subset of the general public. Fanatical in the opinion that the woman is a monster. It’s one thing to observe the trial, and be in inquiry around the data and evidence presented, and another thing entirely to feel the heat and passion of those bent on Justice.
With Mercury making his way back to the fixed star Algol (winking eye of Medusa) at 26° Taurus, where he ultimately stations direct on June 3rd in a loose conjunction to the North Node. As the “The principle of mind”, Mercury is pulling the mythic overtone of the Gorgon, along with all of the evil she portents down and into our psyche. It will be interesting to see if that’s the day we have a verdict in this infamous case.
As the collective is now hooked into this mythic storyline, with Venus, Eris, & Pluto highly active, and Mercury triggering Algol, (Medusa) we are being asked to look at what elements of the Archetype of the evil, snake-like, devil women, are being activated in us.
Where is the suppressed temptress, who “lures man” into uncontrollable bad behavior, thriving in our subconscious.
Where is the desire to crush and destroy the seducer emanating from?
Where does it emanate from in the collective?
Where in us, is that fountain of disempowerment and fear she evokes, a fear so powerful it causes us our nervous system to freeze?
Is it ancestral? From childhood? Karmic?
Or as Jung would say, is just coming from, “the collective unconscious?”
As Venus/Eris makes a quincunx to the South Node in Scorpio, it makes connecting to these dark shadows, feel ever so elusive.
Again, no matter where you fall in terms of the evidence in the trial, I have not seen a more potent, witch hunt energy like this in quite some time. Myth always activates parts of our own subconscious/unconscious.
Making this a wonderful time to bring forward the two myths discussed below, for examination and alchemization, that leads to healing.
