SATURN- KING CONTEMPLATIVE - STATIONS DIRECT

The teaching mechanism on this plane, in the
3-D realm is polarity. We are here to live inside of, and resolve polarity. We are here to acknowledge the paradox inherent in almost all things. Inside of the transcendental and immanent.

There is no time without eternity.
There is no ascent without descent.
There is no SOUL without body.
No Spirit without benign humanity.

You see we live inside a world of duality.

We know where we are by mapping the extremes.

Some say there is no such thing as good and evil, it all exists as part of the “one”.

Yet that is only half of the paradox.

Anyone alive can clearly see the good and the bad, the right and wrong, truth and untruth.

We can feel the reverberating spectrum between right and left. Conservatism and Progressivism.

We can and should judge these things for ourselves. Judgement is also part of plan here. I can feel the truth of that in my bones. Not in the petty sense. In the sense that good faculties of judgement serves our evolution. Aids our Karma. Assists with our agreements.

The opportunity, the evolutionary juice, the pronoia if you will, is that the good and the bad are showing up FOR us.

They are part of the learning, part of our evolutionary path. That’s how we arrive at the “One” and the “Many”.

Said another way, “the Many experiences serve the evolution of the One”.

It’s ALL PARADOXICAL = Linear and Non Linear

We are here to sort our experiences. To separate wheat from chaff. To judge and discern. To milk our lessons for every single thing they have to offer. To make alchemical nectar. To experience polarity as beauty itself.

Shadow and light arise so that we might eventually find equilibrium within them. If we are only living in the transcendental and not the imminent we cannot find equilibrium. If we do not ground within the groundless, embodiment becomes nearly impossible.

Saturn stationed direct on October 10-11th. Saturn is not only Lord of Karma, but he is also what I’ve lovingly titled him, King Contemplative.

In many ways Saturn has gotten a bad rap. He is here to administer deep, mystical, experiences. To test our fortitude in the spiritual realm. Much like a physical trainer works our body. Saturn works the piece of us that is eternal.

When a planet stations either direct or retrograde it stands still for a time, really amplifying that particular part of the chart. For me, this has been Saturn Squaring my Sun in Scorpio. A highly Karmic configuration.

When he first stationed I thought that he was triggering a thick haze of writers block. I had words for nothing I wanted to express.

What I quickly discerned was the invitation into contemplatation, and solitude. Inner alchemy. The opportunity to drop deeply into the world of paradox and duality. Investigate reality again for myself. Examine yet another layer of its rich intricate stitching.

It is entirely common at this time to feel a sort of spiritual standstill. A summons towards introversion. It won’t last long. Instead of feeling the angst of stuckness, see what gems you can mine while the contemplative energy is magnified.

Saturn is exalted in Libra. So we are already collectively tuning into his high level syllabus. Add this to the fact that he is currently in Aquarius making a trine configuration to many of the active planets this month including the Sun. Trines make for any easy exchange of energy.

With Saturn in Aquarius meditation themes may be on the nature of society, and what is good and right for humanity at this time. Take this opportunity to examine the polarity extremes that are active, and see how you can map and resolve them within yourself.

Damascena Tanis

Damascena is an Archetypal Astrologer, Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner, and The Facilitator of the Transformative Journey through the Mandala of Venus’ Wisdom, called “Sky Dancer”.

She is a passionate devotee of the ever unfolding mystery. As an expert observer, a trait she developed as an only child, she regards herself as both a student of life, and decoder of the cosmos.

Skilled at recognizing invisible patterns, and picking up on subtle shifts in the collective, she gets a thrill from uncovering and revealing the hidden threads that are woven together to create our paradigm.

Her passion for this existential detective work aligns well with her unique approach to one on one client work, as she helps others to discover the building blocks of their archetypal blueprint, and mythic overtones. She does not believe that astrology is static, and therefore works with clients to develop strategies and practices that allow them to transcend challenging aspects of their natal chart.

She lives on the Shores of Lake Erie with her husband, four kids, and Cat, Oscar (the grouch).

These days, when she isn’t interpreting a natal chart, or translating the stars for her astrology blog, you can find her engaging in one of her favorite pandemic pastimes, unraveling her inner “good girl”, cultivating the ability to thrive in the deep, dark, unknown, or playing her favorite game of identifying fun paradoxes called “two things are true at once”.
